The Conservatory Program at Andy’s Summer Playhouse is an amazing way for children 8—13 to expand their theatre skills, or get their feet wet for the first time!  This intensive 4-week program offers nuts and bolts theatre training, including acting, singing, vocal techniques, improvisation, movement, characterization, storytelling, and auditioning techniques.  Participants are treated to a tour of the Playhouse with hands-on demonstrations by Andy’s professional staff members of costumes, props, lighting, sound, and production management.  Visiting instructors add their skills as actors and teachers.  Kids eleven and older can also participate in the Apprentice Program working behind the scenes in areas of their choosing such as set painting, costumes, props, lighting, box office and running crew, as well a ushering for the main stage plays.  The four week program culminates in a performance on stage at the Playhouse.

The Conservatory Program meets July 5—August 2, 10 am—2 pm, the fee is $350.
