Erik White - Co-Writer/Director Ramayana Mambo, Props Pandora's Box

Erik has been living in New York City for the past 5 years, going to school (currently at the New School University), working at various short-term theater and restaurant jobs, recording music for an upcoming album, working towards publishing a book of poetry, paying rent, and was recently a dancing suitor in Katie Brennan's The Abortion Vs. The Springhill Mine Disaster, which ran for two weekends at Dance Space Center in Manhattan. Erik has been involved with theater and performing since the first grade, and joined Andy's doing tech work for The Little Prince in 1996, and it had a dramatic effect on his plans for the future. He decided to audition and was in Happy Ending in '97, Snow Angel in '98, and The White Album in '99. Since then he has stage-managed Swiss Family Robinson and The Prisoner in 2000, Ali Baba And The Forty Thieves and An Arabian Odyssey in '01, and after a summer off in '02, he made his directorial debut with 2003's tour, The Time Machine, written by Beth Merriman. Erik would like to extend his gratitude to the Andy's kids, staff, and community for continuing to whole-heartedly commit to this place and everything it stands for. In a time when there is such a lack (even intentionally), of original, thoughtful, meaningful art, it is important to have places like Andy's where people of any age can come and have something to rejoice in and to ponder. THANK YOU!
